Man cave??

Man cave??

Please help!

My husband is shitty with me because i dont wish for him to have a man cave when we move house... i have absolutely NO issue with him having his own space. None at all. My concern is he suffers from depression and anxiety, and if he has his own room he will selcude himself and hide away from everyone and everything. Which obviously is not healthy. I dont want our son picking up on this behaviour, which is why all his toys are in our lounge room, not a toy room.
I have a room that i run my home business from and he is using that against me (that i have a room and he doesnt). I get it that i have a room and he doesnt and that sounds unfair, but its different, i dont hide in there, i work.

He has had a room in the past and he stayed in there, only coming out for food and the loo, litterally not showering for WEEKS!

I have brought up my concerns with him but he twists my words and it ends in an arguement.

Ive asked him if he can promise me to not hide away in there and only spend appropriate amount of times in there and he said he cant promise me that he wont slip. He has come a long away dealing with his issues (which are horrific), im scared of his wellbeing if he slips

Help? What solution is there to this??

There isn't one. I think it needs to be firm ruling - my office when I work..Your office for when Im not working. :)
That way theres only one room, he can't hide away because you need to use it for work.

I dont understand why it is up to you if he has a room or not. I understand your concerns but you honestly sound to me like you are his mother.
