I am about to graduate with my bachelors of science in nursing from a university in the USA (yay!) but i am an Aussie and a homesick one at that. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the nursing profession in Aus, or guide me towards resources that could enlighten me on how to go about licensure there. I am looking to work in adult health, geriatrics, ER, med-surg, rural community health, even if only for a short contract. Would it even be possible as a new grad, or should I stay stateside to get at least a year of acute care experience first?

http://www.aussielocums.com.au/ These guys will be able to give you all the info on moving back to Oz and where the jobs are right across the country. Best chance of employment is out of big cities where the competition for the position isn't so fierce. Good luck. Look forward to welcoming you home :)
