So I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with baby 2 - second daughter and we are so happy! But after a 3a tear with daughter 1 I'm looking into a ceserean for this birth.
I looking for advise on what I can expect from the process and what can be expected in terms of skin to skin and feeding?
Also what I should expect for recovery with an almost 3 year old as well.
I'm wanting a happy birth experience but I'm not too worried about how the baby comes out as long as she is healthy and I am content :)
Any advise is welcome!
(I'm aware a natural birth might go better than the first but I'm not sure I'm willing to risk a worse tear just for the sake of a natural birth)

While I can't comment on a Caesarian as all mine were natural, I did however have 2nd degree tearing with my first big bubb (9p3oz).. Pregnant with 2nd I was worried about tearing again, petrified really, but I went on to have a natural birth..no tearing what so ever and my 2nd bubb was bigger! (9p13oz). Went on to have another 2 babies all natural, no tearing, recovery time pretty much nothing. I've heard stories about Caesar recovery time of 6 weeks, no driving , no heavy lifting, no picking anything up heavier than your baby which is very tricky with a toddler running around as well as a newborn. Ive even had a cousin burst her stitches open after her Caesar and she was only doing housework. Im certainly not trying to scare you, just want to make sure you do your research first before deciding. Good luck and congratulations x
I have not had a natural but I hear planned c sections are easier recovery. Bubs was delivered by c section at 11:12am and I was out of bed and taking a walk by 4:30pm same day :-) My spinal stopped working so was removed in theatre meaning I got feeling in my legs back sooner. It was calm and you can have someone with you... Only thing i could fault was I didn't get skin to skin because she went to special care (she was born 34 weeks so early).
