Hello fellow Im's
Mr 3 has become a horrible child. He doesn't listen. He walks or runs off if we are out at the shops or even the park. Im at the stage that I don't want to take him anywhere. I understand that he is young and learning but he isn't. He thinks it's a game and when you ask him to stop or wait he runs faster. I'm petrified that he may get taken or get hit by a car. I've tried using a harness and all he does is scream.
His sleep has also changed as well. He has gone from sleeping through, to waking up between 12 and 2 for a bottle and telling ne his room is too dark. Yes there is a night light on. He still has a day nap.
Mr 3 is very strong willed and an only child. Im sleep deprived and at my wits end. He goes swimming and preschool and another activity weekly.
All helpful suggestions welcome

perhaps track down a pediatrician,
keep a sleep diary recording how much he sleeps and behavior you notice.
Omega 3 daily wont hurt.
Glass of Milk with honey before bed will help sleep
Vitamin D can help sleep cycles
melatonin can help sleep but I don't know what dosages and ages. pead might recommend it though
are you having to cut his hair and nails regularly or has growth seemed to come to a stand still it can let you know how bad the sleep disturbance is. because sometimes they will stay in their rooms awake for a while before coming to you.
good luck.
Use the harness and let him scream, practice at home so he gets used to it if need be. I hate kids screaming but I'd prefer a screaming safe child over a missing or flattened one anyday. Maybe try adding more night lights in his room to light the corners or install a dimmer on the main light so you can dim the light right down for sleep time but the light stays on all night.
