Yes it can if the pregnancy hormones aren't high enough yet.
Doesn't mean you are pregnant though as there can be a number of other things that can make you feel pregnant.
Test again in a week
Very much so. In fact the faint line so many think is a early positive is in truth a negative. It is just that these women do not regularly test to realise that it isn't actually a positive.
I test regularly due to perimenopause and having suppressed by cycle with multiple contraceptives. Chances of pregnancy are Buckley and none but it does help with stressing.
It is however possible to have phantom pregnancies and since my youngest I have done the usual nausea bloating lactating just prior to my period which can be a full on hdfk
