Hi Mums!! Are there any stay at home Mums who study uni online? How is it for you?? My partner and I were discussing today whether or not it will work out better for us financially for me to return to work in July, and right now it looks like we will be in a similar position once daycare fees are paid, fuel, formula etc.
I'd love to be able to study on campus, but again, would be easier for me to be at home with bub and study at night and while he is asleep. Do you have lectures that you can watch online? Do you think the support you receive is similar to what you would receive studying on campus? I'll be looking at studying nursing and/or midwifery.
Thank you ?

I did a combo. Most courses that you do on campus can mostly be done online without any problems.
So I used to do lectures online and go in for some tutorials. It meant I was at uni maybe 1 day a week. I could mix it up, sometimes I went in for a lecture if I felt I needed more contact. Most Uni courses are mostly done online these days even all the library content is online.
So I felt I got the best of both worlds. I got contact with other students, which motivated me and kept me on track. But I could do majority of my work at home. I actually studied fulltime but was able to manage child too.
I found at times like exams or assignments everything is due at once and it's not always possible or efficient to start too early, so you may find you still need child care at some point. Sick kid combined with final assignments and exams can make things fun
