My husband and I have decided to try for another baby, so I've stopped my depo injections (after being on it for 5 years). Its been about a month and a half since I was due to have my last shot and I've started to have some unusual symptoms that my Dr has no real answer or explanation for.
My boobs ache and feel bigger and fuller, I've been getting sporadic pains in my lower abdomen, but not like a usual menstrual cramp and I feel so unbelievably tired. I took a pregnancy test, even though I knew it shouldnt of been positive, just to rule it out, and it was just as I suspected - negative. I've been sent for blood tests, had my urine tested and even had an ultrasound and nothing appears to be causing it.
Has anyone ever had something similar? Is it possible that my hormones are just going completely bonkers at the moment due to the depo coming out of my system? How long have other women had to wait for their cycles to come back to normal (I should also note, that I have not yet had a cycle since stopping the injections)
