I'd love to hear from all you plus size mumma's on how you found conceiving, giving birth, recovery and if your weight has caused any complications and experiences with doctors and midwives.
I'm a plus size girl TTC and am a little worried even though I am healthy and active.

Hi. I'm a plus size woman. I've had two beautiful children.
It took us two years each time to conceive our kids.
The doctors & nurses will always have something to say about your weight. But if you get a good doctor or midwife, it'll be mentioned once or twice but after that they should be good with it.
Both my pregnancies were high risk due to my weight & preeclampsia but my deliveries were always very healthy with no complications (both c sections unable to go natural).
Plus I had morning sickness from start to finish with both kids.
Recovery. I think the same as delivery & pregnancy it's different for everyone. My recovery for both kids was perfect. I was up moving around the next day with no pains or issues.
I wish I had lost the weight before having my babies as it would make it a hell of a lot easier. But it's not necessary if you're an active & generally fit person.
All the best & I hope you are blessed with the pitter patter of little feet really soon x
i am a plus size mum to one girl who is 8 and now just 7 weeks pregnant with my 2nd yay! my 1st was not planned i was also a lot smaller back then weighing 80kg it's not small but i wasn't as big as i am now, my husband and i starting trying for number 2 3 years ago, i went off the pill, that was when all the problems started for us, i was weighing 110kg at that point and time, i had very irregular periods and very heavy periods where they lasted up to 3 weeks at a time, so my husband and i went to Dr after Dr after Dr and none of them could figure out what was wrong with me, i didn't have pcos or endometriosis they just couldn't figure it out, i had so many ultrasounds and blood test i felt like a pin cushion. But in all of this not one Dr brought up my weight, eventually my husband and i gave up ttc after 2 years as it was too painful to see my period late and get a twinge of hope to only have it dashed, so i gained more weight and finally settled at 125kg, at that time i was marrying my husband, because i was stressed i didn't eat so i was living off half a sandwhich a day just to have something in my stomach as it was nauseating for me to even eat i was that stressed, i ended up losing 30kgs which i am not proud of admitting, i didn't deliberately starve myself i just couldn't eat and i didn't do it to lose the weight, so to conclude my novel sorry for carrying on, my husband and i both think that the only reason why my body sorted itself out was because of how much weight i had lost, i ended up with 2 normal periods and we were pregnant before my 3rd normal period, so i am 95kg now and i still haven't been spoken to about my weight and i am not a tall person i am 5ft, but i know something will be said in the future as i meet with my midwives and obgyn but it is nothing i can't handle, but weight is just a number it is how you use it, if you eat healthy and are active you should have no problems. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get a belly full of arms and legs soon.
