I was told it's too early to tell then.......? We found out at either our 16 week or 20 week scan?
My husband is a sonographer. At 12 weeks male and female anatomy looks the same. No point asking as they'd just be guessing. Best to wait until 20 weeks although you an find out from 16-17 weeks
Our sonographer said it was a girl at 12 weeks and he was right. Some will guess and some won't. Ask and see what they say.
I was told at my 12 week scan I was having a boy. The sonographer was 90% sure. Anyhow, we had a girl :)
My sister in law also got told at her 12 week scan that going by the heartbeat which is faster for boys and slower for girls that she was having a boy but her 20 week scan showed it was a girl. I think tey guess a lot going by the heartbeat I suppose as that is what she was told at her 12 week scan
