Help IM's! My daughter frantically cries in the car and has since birth, she's 2 now and is still like it. I posted when she was about 6 months and people reccomended lots of things. I've tried sitting with her (while hubby is driving), all sorts of toys, books, snacks, drinks, dummy, bottles, singing, reading, iPad & a DVD player, she screams through it all. as a toddler it starts as more of a winge but after 5-10 minutes will be just screaming. I have to drive 2 hours every couple of weeks to pick up my hubby from the airport and it's hell, and it's at least half an hour to most the places you go. We've gotten pretty used to it, and ignore it but it's hard after an hour or so, wonedering if anyone's been through the same? My next step is finding out if she gets motion sickness, and trying to treat if so! My son sits with her too and tries to console her but she just hates the car, she just screams "I wanna get down". We're going for a 6 hour long road trip to see family soon and I really wanna find a solution before then. Thanks IMS

Have you tried different car seats? Maybe she finds the one she has to hot/uncomfortable/restrictive. Perhaps if she helps pick one out just for her.. Sounds like you've tried everything else. Does she fall asleep in the car? Could you travel at night for the big trip? Good luck IM I understand the driving long distances and couldn't imagine how tough it must be with a child crying in the back the whole time x
Have you tried moving her seat into the middle so she has a better view? Or if safe to do so move her seat into the front? You are one miracle patient mum with this one. Good luck!
