Mum Life - Isnt it FUN !!! ;-)

Tonight was a brutal reminder for me about how glamorous mum life really is (NOT) Sometimes and hopefully others can laugh at my misfortune for a moment. I am now a single mum, sure its hard but we are happy, healthy and safe. Go us !! My 2 little angels and I are a real team and we always help each other around the house (they are 10 and 4) So tonight as usual we have dinner, tidy, shower & get school lunches ready for tomorrow.

I pop miss 4 into my ensuite shower while i quickly make her the usual jam/honey/vegimight/miracle sandwich she orders. how long would you say it takes to make and wrap one simple sandwich? 2 mins? 3 mins? well it wasn't long and in that short time, while she was in the shower, she wee'd in there (hey if its washed down who really cares, i clean it regularly) except this time the little bambino accidentally pooped as well as wee'd.

But she didn't shout for mummy to help, instead after a mere few minutes, i come in to find her desperately trying to push the poo down the drain, while half of my bedroom has flooded. Wonderful poo coloured water gushing from the shower flowing like a river underneath my bed. OH F**K i shout. She scalds me for saying a naughty word. In my haste i send her upstairs to have a fresh shower, clean herself off and i slip over. Not only was i ankle deep in poo water that was flowing through my ensuite and bedroom but now my arse is covered too.

Don't worry, not hurt and lots of disinfectant and one very strong vodka later (For me obviously) we are all fine, ready to be a happy little team again tomorrow. So Cheers to being a mum, despite how UN-Glamorous it sometimes is. lets share a laughable story or two as well. Thanks for listening sisters xx
