With Easter fast approaching , every year I find it harder and more difficult to make the effort. Easter , it has to be more than giving chocolate, belly aches and fingers crossed the day doesn't end in vomiting. Christmas is a joyful, fun , time of year but Easter is kind of meh in our household. If you love Easter time, what makes it so memorable for you, What does everyone else do with families / children to give Easter that extra special touch. Every year we do chocolate Easter hunt at home , attend the local egg hunt community day, boiled eggs for breaky, some sort of Easter craft but it just doesn't make my heart sing. Growing up Easter felt amazing I just don't seem to be hitting the same mark with my children. We don't really have any family to share it with so maybe that's why.

For us Easter was about camping when I was a kid and camped right through until my son got sick a few years ago. Best memories.
Yes we do a few eggs a hunt and hot cross buns, but for us it was about being with people camping.
Do you have some friends that you could do a bbq with who have kids? Make it a weekend of entertaining?
Now it's boring for me. My son will be too unwell to go out or for visitors most likely so I'll watch TV and do some sewing most likely!
Does everything have to be magical? Maybe stop trying and relax, just enjoy what comes?
We do sack races and egg and spoon races with all the cousins. Even the adults get into the fun.
I love Easter. To me its spring (which it isn't in Australia so it's a bit weird) but it's chicks and bunnies and eggs and flowers and sunshine. We do craft and colour eggs, we do an egg hunt, make a basket, give chocolate to our friends and have some eggs when the bunny comes.
I thijk I like it because it's simple and easy and doesn't make much sense and just comes and goes. You don't have to do anything, there's no rules just do whatever comes us and welcome the changing season, new phase of the year and baby animals.
We use it as a time to get away where possible. We don't over do the chocolate eggs, my kids often get a nice pair of if boots (I work in an ugg boot factory lol) and just one big egg and an Easter egg hunt. I like to have a nice lunch out somewhere too. This year we are off to the coast so will probably spend the day at the beach.
