Mild anxiety issues.

Mild anxiety issues.

Hey mummies. Just wanted to ask about anxiety and remedies. I have mind anxiety, but enough to inhibit me from doing some things. I find I overthink things and I'm always worrying. When I drink coffee or energy drinks, it perks my mood right up and I feel so great and all those things I overthink are suddenly in the back of my head and I'm not worrying so much. Same when I have one glass of alcohol haha... So my question is, is there anything I can do or take to make these thoughts and emotions not take over my brain. I exercise regularly, eat fairly healthy, I've just started taking a vitamin that helps with anxiety (not sure if it's working). I just want that happy, energetic, carefree feeling without having to drink coffee or energy drinks (I'm sensitive to caffeine and I don't want to become dependant on it like get headaches if I don't have one). I've also taken up an acting course 3 days a week and my anxiety is inhibiting me in some areas and I just want to let go and have fun (It's something I wanted to do since I was little and finally doing it). So any advice would be great!

I have recently had a similar issue helping my anxiety. It was effecting my sleep and therefore effecting me.
I went to my gp and told him I needed something to help me sleep. The tablets he has given me have really helped me mentally as well. Similar to Valium but different!

Maybe speaking to your gp will give you some better options but that's all I really have in sorry.
Good luck x

I found cognitive behaviour therapy! It teaches you to challenge thoughts and also some mindfulness therapy to help you live in the monent.

I take red raspberry leaf tablets and drink camomile tea (an acquired taste, but helpful).
B12, iron, and omega3 are important! Keep your levels at a good level and your moods will improve.
Cutting out the caffeine and alcohol help. It makes it worse for a few weeks, but it improves after a while.
Same with sugar. You're sluggish for a bit, but after a week or two your moods perk up!
Make sure you always have a full stomach. It's been proven that hunger increases anxiety (but make sure any snacks are healthy or your anxiety will spike).
Routine as well.
My son has playgroup 2 days a week, and those days are extremely full on but follow a routine! They're also the days that my mood is the best.
Basically, if you Google anxiety techniques, several things pop up. Try them all and see what works for you!
