Hey IMs I'm curious to know if anyone else suffered 4th degree tear during childbirth and how did you go in the long run? Mentally and physically. I haven't met anyone else this has happened too, I feel like the only one sometimes!

I had a 3a tear and it was pretty horrific so I can only imagine what you went through. A girl in my mothers group had a 4th degree too. I'm feeling mostly ok now (8 weeks PP) though I still get a bit tender and 'heavy' sometimes. I've been doing my pelvic floor religiously as I'm terrified of having prolapse. Also started back at yoga but taking it very easy. Emotionally I really struggled in the beginning and I'm still not 100% ok. I get upset every now and then about it, nightmares too :-( how many weeks PP are you?
