Anyone Else been though this?

In October of last year I had 5 massive adhesions removed from my uterus after 12 months of pain. Although I was told conceiving again would be slim, at the end of November, I was elated to find out I was pregnant. Heartbreakingly I had a devastating 8 week ectopic pregnancy, in December, that resulted in my left fallopian rupturing and having to be removed completely. My husband and I have been trying to convince ever since I had the all clear to do so, only to be disappointed. I'm 28 and all I want is a baby. To complete our family. Has anyone else been in this position? Any words of encouragement? After so many surgeries will I ever have a chance to carry a baby?

Hi there! Im not familiar with the adhesions but I had an ectopic pregnancy and lost one of my tubes too. It took 12 months of trying for a baby and it was disappointing, stressful and heartbreaking to see negative pregnancy tests results month after month but it did happen and now I have a healthy, 8 week old baby boy. It can take up to a year and a half for your body to return to normal after a procedure such as an ectopic pregnancy but the Drs I saw ensured me that a pregnancy would happen and it would happen naturally. Keep trying, I'm sure it will work when your body is ready. Good luck :)

I am also 28 too. The dr suggested to lay on your side (the side with the functioning tube) with your bottom elevated by a pillow, for 30 mins after intercourse too. It's worth a try :)

It hasnt happened to me but my mother had an ectopic pregnancy when I was about 3. By the time I was 4.5 I had a new baby sister and my mum was in her late 30s. It can happen. Good luck xx
