Workplace Bullying - should I leave my job

I work in a busy stressful place I have been there for the last 2 yrs while my babies have been growing they are 3 and 5.

Approximately 3months into the role I began to get bullied. I have had information and things I needed to do my job withheld I have been talked about and told all I was good at doing was putting up my hair and have after 1.5 years of this behaviour become much different to the person I was when I first started there.

I have notified previous managers of the issues (the co-worker who is the bully has been there for a very long time) and I have not had any luck with her behaviour changing. I have addressed it with them and it just made them more aggressive. I have spoken with HR and been advised that formal complaints rarely rectify the situation. I have further study to complete and would be financially ok to walk from the job for a while.

I want to know your thoughts! Should I throw it in? What would you do?????

I'd leave, if you don't have to put up with it why stay? I'd concentrate on getting my studies done.

I would stay and keep reporting and complaining why should some grown ass b@#$/ get away with treating people like that. Keep your head up and don't show her that her crap has any effect on you. Make sure you don't buy into the BS. Do your job to the best of your ability and put pressure on the management with formal complaints. They have to do something eventually.

If you have kept notes about the behaviour and notes about when you've discussed it with managers and HR and still not action has been taken, then it would be well within your rights to contact your union or regulatory body for your type of work.
