I had a colposcopy done on January 20th (9 days ago), my gyno took 2 cervical biopsies (thank goodness, my results were negative! ), however, I'm still experiencing some discomfort. Is it normal to have a slight burning feeling? And it feels like my cervix is itching. No cramps and the unsightly discharge has already ceased. Advil doesn't relieve the discomfort at all.

Personally I'd head off to your GP. It's a medical question so should be handled by a doctor. Otherwise ring the place you had the procedure done in.
They didn't really have an answer for me. Just said to wait over the weekend to see if anything changes.
I've had one but it was quite a few years ago and can't really remember. It does sound logical though - there would be a small scab where they took the sample and scabs quite often itch when they are getting better. I'd probably just wait it out over the weekend like you've been advised as long as there's no pain/cramping/unusual discharge
Totally normal. I've had 3 colposcopy and biopsies and each time takes a little longer to heal. Guess it's because our cervix opening is not really that big to start with then we have chunks taken out to be biopsied so it needs time to heal. Wash with just warm water, no sex without a condom for a bit and if you get your period soon after use pads not tampons. A hassle I know but it all stops 'germs' entering our raw and sore cervix xx
Ps after a few years of 3 monthly gyno checks and pap smears all good and back to 2 yearly appointments. Better safe and a hassle than sorry.
