ughh it feels like I'm being swallowed up by bills I'm in need of help!! is there any organisation that helps with electricity bills? i don't waste my money i don't smoke i don't drink etc and i just can't seem to get ahead I've heard some electricity companies can pay off one of your electricity bills is that the case?? I'm with agl if that helps thank you

We ended up in arrears on our electricity account after they did not bill us correctly for over 12 months and we were in severe hardship. We were with Origin and we were put on a Power On agreement where we agreed to pay a certain amount and they would match the payment up to $600 and then 50% off the payment thereafter. I think every energy company has a similar program. Just go to the company and let them know you're in hardship. They will have a way to help or have other suggestions.
Phone AGL (1300 726 144) and ask about the Government subsidy called the Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme.. Its like $720 or something. AGL will send you through the info and applications.
