So, I went to the doctors the other day and apparently I'm putting on too much weight too quickly. Apparently my baby is however very healthy, energetic and normal sized.
I've since gotten a gym membership (with my partner) and that has gone well with intentions and motivation to keep going.
I'm just having struggles with keeping away from food cravings and eating/snacking less. I've changed from cookies to fruit or a bowel of steamed veg etc.
It's odd for me as I used to work out (until I moved out of my parents place 2 years ago and signing money into anything like gym memberships scared the crap out of me) and changing from one diet to another was never an issue but I'm finding now, it's extremely hard. I turned myself from a size 12 into a size 8 when I worked out but with pregnancy now I'm back to size 12ish...
I have all the support while my partner is home/when we're together but while he's at work on night shift, (I wait up for him because I'm so needy at the moment and can't sleep without him even if I tried) I don't have anyone but myself to slap me on the wrist.
Is it because I'm pregnant with all the hormones that I'm finding a change of eating habits is hard? Will it get easier after I have bub?
I'm not giving up, I'm going to go through with this even with the bumps on the way but if you have any tips or if this happened to you, please comment on how you did it or a helpful tip you got from a girlfriend etc.
By the way, I'm 25 weeks, started at 59kg currently at 73kg.

Pregnancy hormones can make you really hungry and emotional
Relax. Size 12 is not large. Especially if your belly is in there, too. Sometimes doctors say ridiculous things, too. Personally I put on very little weight in the last trimester. You may be the same? Remember you don't need to eat for two. Literally an extra sandwich worth of calories is all bub needs. Try snacking on fruit, boiled eggs, small tub of Greek yoghurt with a lil honey. Don't eat processed foods/takeaway too much. You don't need to go to the gym. Just walk daily. Only drink water. Breastfeed, if you can, usually burns a lot of weight off. Did for me anyway. I put on 12kgs each of my pregnancies and breastfeeding sucked it off me in a couple of months. Don't stress yourself.
