I'm nearly 38 and my partner and I who is younger have decided to have our first baby together . I have 2 already and I'm worried it'll take me forever to fall as a few of my close family and friends arent very positive it'll work or if it does it'll take me over a year etc. I dont find that very encouraging and am left feeling empty and deflated after conversing with them.
I guess I'm just after some encouraging words or stories and even some tips on what I should do or can do to prepare for it :-)

Yes age can make things more difficult for some people and it's important to be realistic. I think they are just reminding you that age related fertility issues are a thing and they don't want to see you get your hopes up and then be disappointed. But that said many people go on to get pregnant in there late 30s. It's important to know that a lot of people of ANY age can take up to 2 years to fall pregnant.
It's not like I don't realise it will be hard at all I'm super realistic but the way these people say it to me is like I'm an idiot and was quite blunt and deflating :-( . I know what I'm up against and I just needed to tell someone I didn't want an opinion on it I just wanted to verbalise it as it took a lot to get to this spot where my partner was very happy to actually truly want it.
I think it says that they thought you were done having kids, or maybe whoever you spoke to is done having kids????
I know when a friend mentions they want more kids I'm always like WTF because I'm Done. It's not judging it's just I couldn't imagine doing it again, so the idea of shy one doing it is horrifying lol
It happens to me in reverse when I catch up with friends who are all trying, they are all really shocked and negative when I say I'm done when they ask.
