I have been looking into menstrual cups and was wanting a little more info on them so I was wanting to know about people's experiances with then. How long it took to get the hang of using one, any troubles or issues, what brand/s you would recommend and any other info you might consider useful.

Firstly I'd like to say good on you for looking outside the societal norm for hygiene products! You absolutely won't regret going down this road. It took me three cycles to be completely comfortable with my diva cup. That first cycle was messy! But it was so worth it!! No more gross tampons and getting up through the night to change. And I no longer worry about leaking. It's so easy. If I have to empty it in a public toilet I just wipe it out with some toilet paper and give it a wash in my night time shower as usual. As for brands I suggest just reading some of the reviews that come up on google and going with what feels right for you. At worst you will have to try a different brand but it's still worth it in the long run. I haven't had to buy any sanitary products (except for after a birth) for 4yrs!!! It's so much better for the earth and your purse!
