So I have been on implanon for almost three years. Feb 15/2016 makes three years. I had horrible periods at first some lasting over two months constantly. Well for the past year it has been very constant and I start around the exact date every month. Except this month. I am a week and half late. I got lightheaded and threw up a few days ago and my nipples are very sensitive. I took a pregnancy test but it said negative. Is it possible that I could have a False negative and my BC could have quit working? I feel like somthing is not normal with my body.

Its hormonal and completely normal, usually 2-3 months before your implanon runs out you get unusual symptoms of hormonal out bursts at least this has always been the case for me I have had 4 implanons (been using them for 12years) currently on my 5th and I get them same symptoms as a reminder that it is due soon. If you are really worried ask your doctor for a blood test ?
Well I'm not on insurance right now so I can't. But my sister got hers the same day and she hasn't had these symptoms yet. I read it could stop working before the whole three years is up, is that true?
If a person falls pregnant while on implanon its highly likely it would be an ectopic pregnancy (occurring outside of the womb) these symptoms are virginal bleeding and intense lower abdominal pain. The Implanon is 99.95% effective as birth control. You are due to have it replaced in February asked the doctor then.
