My son is due to to start kindy this year and prep next year. He has a slight speech delay and is a little behind with his milestones. I worry as I don't think he'll be ready, and I dont want him to be bullied. (His dad is dyslexic ) I am considering a Steiner school for him.
Does anyone with kids with slight delays have feedback on Steiner schools( Cairns Hinterland specifically) .

I looked into Steiner for my asd kids, and found in our local school it wasn't recommended by other parents
Kids with dyslexia weren't getting the help they needed, kids with special needs were being ostracised
A good friend of mine ended up pulling her son out at 10 and putting him in the local public school, he was illiterate and had no friends, now he can keep up with his age and has a lovely group of friends
There are other alternative schools in my area, and if I had the money, I'd love to send my kids to them, but steiners approach just doesn't seem to fit with kids like mine
