I'm looking at changing careers and have been thinking of property management ( residential, rentals ect) ..can anyone give me insight on the career. What's the pay like (full time) .. ? Obviously I would do the course and exams. For those who are property managers , what are your experiences? Good and bad.

I have been a Property Manager on and off for nearly 20 years. It is a very thankless job. You have tenants consistently complaining, and owners who believe that their property should be first and foremost everyday. But, then you have some great tenants and owners. Unfortunately Property Management has the highest turn over of staff than most other industries. Consider that if you work for a small firm, you will be expected to be on call 7 days. Work for a bigger company and they generally (not all but a lot) treat tenants like crap. I have recently taken a step back as a support property manager - I am finding this much more fulfilling. Being able to 'leave' my job where it belongs at the end of the day. Good luck with your endeavors.
