Loving someone with acute mental illness

The hardent part of loving someone who has an acute mental illness....when you have been involved in each others lives for 8-10 years....even if not living together at stages due to the illness.....

You become a feature of the illness. Particularly if it includes psychosis. Saying good morning can be a mystery can of worms. You may have just woken and walked into the room saying "good morning".....

Where they may have been having a heated discussion with you for an hour already during which every put down they can imagine is hurled at themselves cutting like knives.....

Until they respond to good morning you just don't know what conversations with you, you weren't in attendence.
