My bub had a lip and tongue tie cut at 2 mths old but lip has reattached and being done this arvo.
Last minute cancellation we weren't expecting to get in for a few wks.
Just wondering if anyone has had it done on older bub and how they handled it?
Also would they still use scissors at this age or laser?

My som had his done at 18 wks then again at 6.5mths. He had his lasered. It made a huge difference for us with solids. He was a little clingy for the first day then was fine. He didnt even have panadol. We were still breastfeeding so i had frozen breastmilk that i chipped bits off and put in under his lip and tongue to help the healing and the swelling
Its def best to do it now, otherwise if you wait til he is older he needs to go under anaesethic. There is a great facebook page called tongue and lip tie suppory australia that can help put your mind at ease.
I swear the laser was more stressful for me then it was for my son
