Makeup during c-section

Hi ladies, I'm having a c-section in a few weeks and wondering if I am able to wear a bit of make up? No foundation, just mascara, but of blush etc? I want to look nice in the photos. I'm not one to ever wear make up but just wanted to to feel nice and look good for photos (if that makes sense) thankyou :)

I'm not sure. I would ask the midwife/OB if it's safe. I *think* if you're having an epi it should be fine but they may say no in case they have to put you under quickly.

There's nothing glamourous about having a c-section. After mine I looked like hell and no makeup could have changed that. If you are having an epidural then it should be ok but they make you shower in a type if disinfectant before the procedure so it'll possibly cause panda eyes. You can always ask the people performing the operation if they mind if you wear make up it's the only way you will get the right answer.

Pretty sure like any op it is recommended no make-up (including nail polish) and no jewellery.
