Sorry this is kinda long ...
My eldest son is 3 and refuses to toilet train we have tried everything potties, going on the toilet, inner seat, stickers, lollies, in the garden, going with another male, books, if I just put him in jocks he wets everywhere and Iam forever running around cleaning up his messes.
4 weeks ago I had our 3 rd baby and while staying in hospital every visit without fail he would use my hospital toilet, so I know he can do it. When I sit down with him and talk to him about it he says he will only use the hospital toilet :/
Pls has anyone had any really terrible toilet trainers or any tips this is doing my head in and I feel Iam failing him in some way not to mention he has school next yr and needs to be trained by then. He defiantly understands when his done something as he comes straight to me and asks to change his nappy.
Pls any tips for these parents who are totally out of ideas

Our lil boy was hard as well, we tried everything, the thing that worked the best was no undies, just shorts/pants.
He also had to learn as his friends moved upto kindy he had to stay back as they had to be trained. After a week of accidents he was fine as he wanted to be with his 'boys'
He was 4 in September and still doesn't wear undies. He still wears a nappy to bed. We had our lil girl 14months younger was wearing undies at her 2nd birthday and he had a pull up on.
if you know he could use the toilet there is a way to teach him but it might seem a little mean. Put him in jocks when he wets them let him sit in it for a while maybe 5 mins then get him to clean up the mess on the floor and change him self NO HELP. If you can don't even move keep doing what ever it was you where doing. Keep telling him to clean the mess and get change. he made the mess he cleans it, not meanly just kind of its not important to you you have other more important things to do. No praise when he is finished ( if its on carpet after he has tried to clean it send him to his room to get changed then go and finish cleaning it) He could be using changing his nappy as some mummy time when he works out that you will ignore him when he wets he should start using the toilet. when he use the toilet HUGE deal out of it like the queen has just came to your house. sing dance hugs and kisses keep telling him what a big boy he is how happy you are. The biggest thing is once you have started you can't go back and tell him no more day time nappies you have to use the toilet. and remember be strong you are doing a great job
