Most my lawyers in the past were at half the rate. They are charging $380 an hour. Legal aid are covering it and topping up the caveat on my house for it because I'm a pensioner. If I wasn't a home owner it would cost a fraction but because I got a mortgage and am a home owner I pay full price.
Oh well at least they dont charge interest.
I was in his office 3 hours today sorting out documents for the case we got only halfway through at the 3 hour mark. If I'm last in he usually leaves when I do...but he didn't he just let me out the back door.
I know that look, I have worn that look, he was in the zone and went straight back to work...it feels good having a lawyer who knows how to focus when it matters helping me try to protect my girls. Been through a year of hearings with him already.
I dont think he left the office tonight before the pubs closed.

It wont be a quick process. We will need to track him down first possibly even get an order for centerlink to provide his current location
His receptionist is nice though used to work for legal aid. She told me because it's without interest (well they can apply interest but in 30 years they havent) I'm better off paying off my mortgage before paying the caveat. And to wait for their annual offers they offer 25% off the debt with 6 months to pay apparently.
