My baby has just turned 6 months so I have tried to swap his dummy from the newborn to 6+months (same brand), but he won't take it. The teat is a fair bit bigger, is this something I should keep trying? Does it matter I he still has he newborn one?

I didn't bother swapping, my 17 month old still has newborn sized.
Nop don't even bother swapping. He's happy and it won't affect him development wise so just leave it hun. It's hard these days with companies telling us what dummy/ bottle teet they 'should' be using at every stage. None of it matters in the end so just do what works. My kid went from the '2 month' bottle teet to a cup at 10mths with no issue, so I learnt just do what works.
