I am becoming that cranky mum .!!!!
I have two kids who for the most part get along really well . My boy is nearly 10 and although very responsible and thoughtful ? He gets in these moods where he can be a real tease . And my daughter who is nearly 7 is a happy and bright little being . Not a responsible bone in her tiny body but she is just so happy.Until she wants to get her brother into trouble and then she wails and howls like she is being tortured . Neither of them have any hang ups and are well loved . BUT THEY DRIVE ME CRAZY !!!
I find myself getting cranky at them when they get an attack of the giggles at the table . I blow my stack and walk away . As soon as i do i regret it . The sad part is that they are used to it and just giggle quietly . Why am i upset at them laughing and joking ?? Whats wrong with me ?
Just tonight i have had to remind them for the 1000th time to use their knife and fork when they are at the table . My daughter joked and said " fingers were invented first " i got cranky and walked away .... Why ?? I feel like i am bringing everyone down with my crankiness .
Small thing to complain about i understand . There are people out there with real problems who would kill to have an issue of happy kids . I work 5 days a week and have no family around so its just my husband and i doing everything (not complaining ... Just stating how it is ) If we are their only family influences, i don't want them to grow up remembering me as a grouch .
Can anyone identify or do i just need to take a chill pill ? Lol

You need to get you time! Wether that's taking a bath, doing some yoga, locked in your room. Whatever it is you need to create wind down time for you. Ita the only way I avoid being cranky mum
Find something for yourself a craft group or something just to get out of the house.....
And my favourite is TO YOUR CORNERS I DONT CARE WHO DID WHAT! It's not about who started someone did and someone bit back.....time out for everyone including mummy.....christmas can resume in 2 hours (I kid you not)
The first paragraph I could have written about my two children. Same ages and everything!! You sound like you need a little break some time to yourself can do wonders xx
