I'm 157cm (5ft 2) and nearly 100 kilograms would you consider having another baby if you were me?

That's not enough info to go on for me.
But ...
If I was otherwise healthy, financially able, tolerated pregnancy well and under 35 and I wanted a baby I would find a way to do it, even if it meant heading to the gym and changing my eating habits, and one of the reasons I say that is when I am around that weight I stop ovulating (and I'm your height). So loosing a bit of weight will give you a better chance plus make the pregnancy easier.
I've had pre eclampsia in previous pregnancies and the potential to have it again scares me.
Why don't you discuss with your doctor and how to reduce risks?
I have.
I think I'm just going to lose weight first and not risk it.
I've been told I can. But I am feeling pulled towards losing weight and getting healthy first.
It will give you a lot more confidence in the process I think. Anything that decreases your risks and eases your anxiety around the process is a good thing. I would just add don't necessarily focus on the number on the scale. Shape change, fitness goals, how much energy you have are all far better to focus on, on a health journey than that number on the scale.
those factors alone wouldnt stop me
Hi i am 5'9 and weigh 100kgs 27 years old and currently pregnant with my first baby and I am 29 weeks. I just found out today i have gestational diabetes because of my BMI and also relaxing my diet since falling preggo's. I have put on 11kgs throughout this pregnancy so i would absolutely recommend to get your body to its healthiest you can. What i have learnt today has scared me endlessly, and the risks not only with gestational diabetes through pregnancy but afterwards are confronting.... 50% chance of developing type 2 diabetes in 10 years if i dont take my lifestyle seriously after having bub, 60% chance of developing it in future pregnancies and my unborn childs risk for ADHD is doubled, so is their risk for developing diabetes theirselves. So please, do yourself and your future kiddies a huge favour by looking after yourself as best as you can. Lose weight girlfriend! X
