Hi ladies! sorry in advance for the long post. Just looking for personal experiences. Im currently pregnant with baby 2. Last week I went into early labour at 35+4 weeks and got flown to the nearest hospital that can take babies that early. They gave me all steroid injections and drugged me up to stop the labour for 4 days straight. Now a week later I am home and have been having contractions for three days now. I've spoken to the midwives and they have said just to wait it out at home but it keeps getting to a certain point and not progressing any further. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and they had a baby soon after or if I may be having difficulty after a certain stage. I have an unbelievable amount of pelvic pressure and my contractions get to 3 mins apart and stay the same for hours before they stop. I'm going to the doctors on Monday but just looking for some experiences and having no idea if the doctors will intervene and bring it on being only 37 weeks.

Are the contractions painful? If not it could just be Braxton hicks, which is basically your body practicing for labour and you can have them for months. My BH contractions would get really close together and then stop.
There is no harm in presenting yourself at the hospital though for an examination. That way you can put your mind at ease.
Yep, my 2nd child started coming at 30 weeks (engaged, affaced cervix, mucous plug) had steriods and drugged up the same as you. From 33 I started contracting every 10 mins and was admitted to hospital on and off. After bedrest and a crapload of pain I lasted untill 37 weeks. My doctors wouldn't do any thing until 39 weeks. Everyday I was wishing for it to progress, my water even broke and it didn't progress till 12hrs after. Be aware though, as soon as they started my ds born within the hour. Very intense. Good luck IM xx
