Upper back pain

Upper back pain

I'm having insane back pain in the upper half of my back. I know I can see a doctor about this but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I did some reading and found that it can be nerves pinched between the ribs or bubs positioning putting pressure on certain spots. Any pointers on how to get rid of this? Laying down feels like the only thing that helps and I have 2 and a half months of work left so this isn't an option thorughout the day. I sit in an office chair all day and try to get up as much as possible but once the pain starts it's impossible to get rid of. It's had me in tears a few times as I also have sciatica so it's feeling like a double whammy.

Definitely see your doctor, labour can present as back pain, so you should absolutely be checked out. Plus the doctor can refer you to a physio, physios can recommend strapping etc that can help.

doctor simply because it can be caused by so many different things.

Definitely see a doctor to rule out complications but it might also be worth seeing a chiropractor, ive been every 2 weeks with this pregnancy and I don't think I would be walking around if I didn't. I've also had a few targeted massage sessions which helped a lot. Good luck and i hope you find some relief

Thanks ladies, booked into docs tomorrow to hopefully be referred to physio. It's badly effecting my work so won't try and wait it out like I have been.

I realise this was posted 8 days ago, but hate commenting on FB. My 'friends' don't need to see everything I say! I just wanted to suggest an osteopath - I was skeptical at first but had such great success when I had a weird upper back/neck/shoulder problem. I'd been seeing a physio with no luck. It's hard to find good practitioners in any profession though, I saw a different osteo at the same practice a year or two later but he wasn't as good as the first one I saw. I've had the same experience with physios, GPs, everything! Just need to shop around I guess. Good luck, hope it's already feeling better 8 days after your original post haha.
