I had irregular bleeding a lot of clotting when I did. Huge mood swings ... Felt like I was trapped in a strangers body etc ... Foggy head. Once I had it taken out I felt normal again, I have problems with birth control full stop though.
Oops, seems even this rather benign question still manages to "annoy" some people, sorry!
I'm well aware that what works for some won't work for others, what I wanted to see was the ratio of good to bad.
Online I can find either pages singing its praises or condemning it, very black and white and hard to gauge.
From the answers I've read today, it's mostly positive, and as mine has been in for a week today with no pain and minimal bleeding, I'm feeling much more comfortable with my decision, mission accomplished :) thanks for all the helpful replies
Not at all annoyed me just sharing my experience. Birth control just didn't agree with me lol many of my friends have had the mirena and loved it! It worked well just the side affects which I learnt were rare were just too much for me, I hope it continues to work well for you x
