I'm really struggling with my weight!!! I'm 25 year old single mum with 2 kids. At my heaviest I was 118 kilos I'm now 88. And I'm 5ft, 6 so I'm just in the obese category of bmi. Honestly I lost the 30 kilos, with quick fixes and "phases" that's not what I want. I want long time health. I want to get there knowing I did it healthy. My goal I imagine is around 68. 20 kilos to go. I have pcos (poly cystic Iberian syndrome, which is insulin resistance) I have been to my doctor for help and advice many times an I have been prescribed duromine which I've taken an which helped loose the previous 30 however I'm wanting to do this properly!! I often look in the mirror an struggle not to cry. I feel disgusting!
Please help??

I also have PCOS & my doctor prescribed Metformin to try & regulate my hormones & therefore will help me lose weight. Unfortunately the Metformin isn't working for me (not just weight wise but hormonally as well) but it might for you - I'd go back & ask the doctor about it. I've also being on duromine & hated it - it's not a long term thing :p
Thanks Chantelle, I've been on metformin for 2 years various doses an that didn't do anything at all x

I've got PCOS and lost 20kg the hard way by counting calories and working out (proper aerobic exercises). It's hard work but is definitely doable. Getting a great personal trainer (if you can afford it) is highly valuable and using an app like MyFitnessPal for calorie counting is what I find best. I'm a big believer in reaping what you sow meaning you will enjoy the result more if you do the hard yards. Medicines and quick fix diets are not the way to go.
