How do I manage an income and have some kind of quality of life?

I just want to know how you all manage life? In a few different areas..... I earn $48000 a year I work full time and i am always tired and on a tight budget.. I get a small amount from the government and my rent is average
How am I supposed to get ahead? Like buy a house, hell even just some decent furniture I have only shabby old furniture and I just feel like life is passing me by while I live this mediocre broke life and I am not even happy
I have two children and they are expensive goddamit - single mum
I feel like there is some secret club that I am not part of.
My hair is going grey and I don't love my job is this seriously all there is to life?

Single mum here. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to buy a house, yeah a lot of people have to save for furniture or buy it from discount stores and ikea. I've learnt to up cycle. I don't want to depress you but $48000 a year is not a lot of money. I have a tight budget, I save, we do everything we can to get by. But unless something serious happens in the next few years I will never own a house. Guess what, who cares? It really isn't that big of a deal. I have a roof over my head, we are well fed and we are comfortable. I think in this era we have this mistaken belief that we will all live a certain lifestyle and it's unrealistic.

Married double full time income no gov help rent bills 2 kids bills getting no where. We are kmart shoppers eldest doesnt get tuck shop youngest is at cheapest decent day care. I own my car its a cheapie partners loan is not even half way through. Our rent is decent. Im bankrupt. Every time we are ahead something unexpected comes up and we are behind. But we are family we have full bellies warm beds and lots of love in our home. There is no secret club people just make you think there is. Reality = we're all imperfect some are just too proud to admit it

You have to budget eveything! I never once did and thought that we weren't well off but once I started budgeting we actually weren't too bad off at all.....i also pay eveything off fortnightly like my power and phone bill and even car insurance so I don't get massive bills that need to be paid within a certain time
