Pregnancy body troubles.

Pregnancy body troubles.

I am currently pregnant for the 5th time, third child. During my last pregnancy my stomach muscles separated (less then a cm, also have slight prolapse) and I'm really concerned about how my body will cope this time around. When I brought up the separation and prolapse to my OB whilst I was still pregnant he did not seem concerned and offered no advice as what to do. I am only 5 weeks and my lower back already aches all day. Is there any exercises or support bands anyone could recommend to help me get through the pregnancy and for recovery aswell? I'm not overweight, although not active either.

See if you can get a referral to a physio who specializes in pregnant women.

A referral to a physio is the best place to start.

You can get a referral to a physio like the other posters have suggested, you could try swimming or just floating around in the water if you're able to get to a pool or the beach. You can get pregnancy support belts for your pelvis and lower back area. I've seen second hand ones on eBay or a physio would be able to either sell you one or order one in for you.
