Please no judgement.
I have put on a lot of weight and have over 40 kilos to lose to get to a healthy weight. I have worked as hard as I can on weight watchers for 2 months and have lost 4 kilos. Usually when you're a bigger girl (over 100kg) it would come off quicker than this. I am going to ask my doctor next week about some sort of weight loss medication. I am not wanting to use this as a "quick fix" I know I have to put in the hard yards myself (food and exercise) to make it work, but I am just wanting some ideas from anyone who's taken weight loss medication about side affects, which ones have worked, things like that. I know that just because I ask for some weight loss medication it does not mean my doctor will prescribe any.

As someone who is a big girl, you need to take into account your body composition. My BMI is huge and although I carry excess fat I have a hell of a lot of muscle. I lost 2 dress sizes in the last 3 months but only lost 4kgs! So talk to your doctor about what is the best measurement for you. We are now going by my inches lost because it's clear I'm loosing fat and shrinking but not weight lol my clothes are hanging off me and have gone down to a size 14 bra from an 18.
I have tried two types of medication. Xenical which doesn't let your body absorb fat, so it can be a big lesson, if you are eating too much fat, it comes out your bum in the form of oily discharge, it's gross. I lost about 50kgs (getting me down to 100kgs) I kept that off for 5 years.
I had tried another medication which was basically speed. It sped me up, lost my appetite, couldn't sleep. Lost a lot of weight really fast but gained it all back again in a matter of months.
So now I monitor my diet and activity levels. My GP recently ran a battery of tests and I am medically healthy, no diabetes, cholesterol etc.
good luck
The only thing in my case that worked was gastric surgery, usually for people who have a bmi higher thab 35 or excess of 30kg to loose. Honestly I sat on the thought for a while. Its a huge descion but one that ai believe for me has been worht all the hard yards. I tried everything to loose and maintain a healthy weight nothing long term worked. I have lost over 50kgs in less than 12mths and only regret not doing it sooner.
Duromine is the only thing that actually works but it is a thing that you need to work out whether the side affects are worth weight loss... I have lost 5 kilos in 2 weeks and I only have 20kgs to loose... Although my anxiety did peak for a couple of weeks, sleepless nights but now I'm fine on it... Duromine also helps with the food control and what foods to eat... Good luck! X
