I'm booked in to have a biopsy done on a cyst in my breast & am wanting to know what I am in for. I'm assuming it's very painful... How long does it normally take & any advice? When I made the appointment they told me I can't drive afterwards & I didn't think to ask why - would I be given painkillers maybe?
Thanks in advance

Good luck I hope it's all clear!! I had one a few years ago, wasn't that bad just more uncomfortable. I was told to take a few painkillers hour before went in and then they numbed the area. Bit sore after but not too bad
It took about 40 minutes and wasn't too painful. I was told to take pain killers before hand and after which helped. I'm not sure why they said you can't drive? I did. Maybe they think due to the location it may be painful for you. Try not to stress yourself too much, I've had worse things done. Best of luck.
Hi I only had this done in November. They numb the area and try to drain it all. Mine could only get drained a bit because the rest was solid. It didn't hurt and was overly very quickly. I will tell you it is very overwhelming but the people that do it are so comforting that makes the experience comfortable. My results came back all clear and I still have the hard part of the cyst in me I can get it cut out if I want to but the doctors said that it's not dangerous being there saying that it can be painfull when one of my little ones jump or knock my boob so I would end up asking for the rest to be cut out. Good luck you will be fine and I hope I have helped in a little way Xo
