I recently gave birth and the midwives who looked after me where absolutely amazing. I was thinking about sending flowers to the maternity ward with a thank you card, would this be a nice thing to do or would they not be allowed to accept things like that? It's not for one person in particular I was just going to say thank you to all staff on the card.

Send them. My sister is a medical professional and patients bring her plants, fruit, veggies all sorts of things!
I sent my midwives a big box of chocolates and a card, they loved them.
