I am thinking about becoming a surrogate mother for my best friend, who has struggled with infertility and IVF for close to two years.
I have had one pregnancy which resulted in a beautiful daughter (whom we conceived on our first try) and I would love to be able to give the gift of life to my friend and her husband.
I know it would be hard but I think I could do it, and my husband agrees.
I would like other's experiences and thoughts regarding this please :)

You would need very good legal advice. The laws in each state are different and in some it's illegal.
Also how would you feel if your friend and you had a falling out at some point?
I'd also get counselling before going ahead. I think it's a lovely thing to do, it's important to do it right and not leave a couple heart broken because at the final hurdle you couldn't hand over the baby.
Have you actually approached your friend to get her opinion on it? It is as much her decision as it is yours.
