Baby after chemo?

Baby after chemo?

Me and my husband are trying for a baby, he had 3 rounds of chemo for testicular cancer last year and it was advanced and didn't have time to store his sperm. Has anyone had chemo and then gone on to have a baby NATURALLY and how long did it take? Any tips? We are getting his sperm tested next specialist appointment but after success stories or stories from people whose husbands have been in the same position

It might be a good idea to get his sperm tested for live sperm. Some men's sperm comes back but for some it never comes back. I'm sorry .....

My husband went through 13 cycles a couple of years ago for a different cancer, we had some stored but decided against using it as we already have a healthy daughter from before his cancer and didn't want to go through ivf. We had his sperm tested 2 times since chemo finished, the most recent being around 10 months ago where they said we could nevet get pregnant naturally as he only had 3 viable sperm in his sample. We had given up hope of having another child but I here I am, 24 weeks pregnant after falling pregnant naturally. It just takes one! Get his levels checked and have faith, the longer it is post treatment, the higher chance of having better fertility. Wishing you all the best x
