I need some reassurance or mums that have been through similar.

Hi mums!
I'm nearly 19 weeks pregnant, i have a 5 year old boy and we lost a baby girl at 18.6 weeks before my son was born.
Being pregnant with my son was a nightmare emotionally for me. I had a cervical stitch put in at 15 weeks and had it taken out at 34 weeks, my son was born at 41 weeks.
This pregnancy my gyno/ob has me on progesterone pesseries 200mg, 1 daily vaginally since 6 weeks and also having cervix ultrasounds every fortnight. At first my cervix was 5cm long (at 12 weeks) and at my last scan 2 days ago it was 4.2cm long. I have been having aching pains in my back and legs which comes and goes and is worse at night and also i've had a stabbing pain on the right hand side in from the hip, and siatic nerve pain in the same leg/hip/back area.
I am absolutely shitting myself that i am going to loose this baby too. The last few days i've just been waiting for something to happen! I cant think about anything else, i cant sleep, i force my self to eat! I am utterly terrified!!! Has anyone else used the pesseries for similar reasons? Is it normal growing pain im feeling? Is there anyone out there that has shittful nightmare pregnancies like me? :(

Pregnancy doesn't agree with me either. I do not glow during pregnancy and was actually unable to walk most of it due to the pain. The only way I got any sleep at all was by having 8 pillows to support me in different places. It wasn't what I call a fun experience, just something I had to get through.
Good luck

I don't have any experience with sever pregnancy complications like you are going through but I am wondering why your treatment this time around is different? I'm assuming you've got an incompetent cervix and by the sounds of it the stitch worked well during your pregnancy with your son. The amount of stress you are under is not good for you or the baby so perhaps discuss the possibility of having another stitch put in place. This is a tried and tested treatment for you and given that it resulted in a healthy bub last time around using this again may help you to relax?
Good luck!! Xxx
