What was your bleeding like after birth? Did you bleed heavily for weeks? I gave birth just over a week ago and I feel like my bleeding has gotten heavier not lighter. I saw my Dr yesterday and she asked me about the bleeding, I'd only noticed that day in particular it had picked up the pace and it's stayed that way for the last 24 hours. I described it but she wasn't concerned at this stage. How do I know what's normal and what's not? I'll go back to the Dr if I get really worried. I don't have a lot of clotting but its very heavy and thick red blood, to the point of leaking a bit when in bed etc. Sorry TMI!

I haemmoraged with both of my kids so maybe I am the wrong one to give advice. Apparently for a normal vaginal birth, you can expect blood for upto 6 weeks, but since yours is still rather red and thick, I would maybe get a second opinion just to set your mind at ease. My normal period is usually quite heavy and can sometime leak. Don't leave it too long as you may become anemic, Keep up the iron tablets as well.
I was like that with my first baby, I couldn't even stand up without it running down my legs, it started to settle down after a week but it was awful. If you are really
Worried tho go back to the docs and get checked again. Better to be safe than sorry
I bled heavily for the first 4 weeks I reckon, had to wear the big gigantic pads. I continued to bleed for the full six weeks. Not pleasant
