Hey beautiful ladies, my husband swears a lot. Today I tested my husband, I counted his curse words. He is so bad that I stopped counting before lunch time at 178 times. I told him and he was shocked and yet tells me a story about fishing and throws in f's and c's where it really isn't necessary.
My husband is awesome, love him to bits. He works a lot (in a very blokey environment which I think stems from it) I have a 6 month old. Thank goodness she is sort of saying 'mum' as her first word - yay me lol. As time progresses she will eventually pick up these words.
I always pull him up, a bit of a broken record. I'm not a prude but sometimes it's so unnecessary. Anyone have a husband that swears way to much? Have your kids picked it up? Any advice is appreciated!!!

Yep my husbands the same.. says it so so much!! Exept my now 3 year old won't copy him but as soon as I lose my temper and say For F Sake, he copies me clear as a bell and in the right context.... dohhhhhh!
Wow that's a lot lol. My hubby does swear and occasionally I do too in hearing of our 4yr old. Since the start we've told him their naughty words and he gets sent to naughty corner if he says them and as he got older and became a smart ass lol this led to him sending us to the naughty corner if we say them. Works for us and we have both stopped swearing around him. It's not hard just got to break the initial habit
yes!! instead of saying 'um' or pausing during conversation my husband says 'f**ken'
eg, 'i went to the f**cken shop and f**cken bought some f**cken bait so i can go F**cken fishin' on the weekend.
so i have to decipher what he says, he swears so much that it comes out in very inappropriate places and he doesnt even realise hes said it :(
yes our kids have picked it up and i hate it.
just make your huby aware of it and pull him up everytime he swears at home, its a habit and i believe it can be broken
Video him, sometimes when you see it yourself it has more of an impact. Often the first time there sweet little toddler drops an F bomb swearers change there language :)
I knew a couple that would swear all the time infront of their kids. They didn't believe me that it would rub off on their daughter till the day they tried to take her home and she told her mum to F**K off. They tried to stop but it didn't work. When their second daughter came along the day care she attended asked her not to come back due to bad language.
My husband is exactly the same. He is so bad for swearing. My daughter is 4 and doesn't swear at all although she has heard it all waaaaaay too much. I'm not happy that he swears around her and I also feel like a Broken record but he forgets she is there and gets carried away in his stories and what not.
