Hi mums. I've been separated from my kids dad for a few years but recently we have been getting along. He was a dick head at first so child support collected on my behalf.
He was earning heaps then moved when his parents got ill so his income dropped. He had over 10k owing and our kids are both under 3.
He's paid most of it off but still owes nearly $500 in admin fees.
Now that's really got to get under the skin of most blokes. Fair enough they have to pay child support but 'Admin Fees!' Just another way for the greedy government to make money.

Sorry, but how much does it cost to keep chasing non payers? It costs way more to administer the system than what they charge!
So CSA workers shouldn't get paid? Shouldn't have offices to work in? Where else should the money come from to administer the system?
My dad has a constant battle with CSA. My dad got my brother when his relationship failed and my sister went with her mother. Instead of calling it even as my dad was a low income earner and his ex is a dole leech. My dad got a Bill of $6000 and when he went to them and said I can barely put a roof over my sons head or feed him they said tough.
Each tax year his Bill never decreases just increases and on a weekly basis they are calling him to ensure nothing's changed. The fees are ridiculous.
I agree child support can be really unfair sometimes. My husband was paying $400 a week to his ex for one child. He was earning roughly $1000 a week. $400 a week what baby needs that.
