I am a single mum with 3 children and currently dating a man who earns 42,000/pa. I have looked at the online centrelink calculator and it says I will end up with $62 per fortnight of parenting payment or Austudy (I'm currently a student). Does anyone know if this is correct, and will I also get to keep the maximum family tax benefit (my ex-husband does not pay child support for now as he is currently in jail - please no judging). I am reluctant to contact centrelink myself as we are not ready to move in together I am just trying to think ahead.

Yes he will pretty much be supporting you and your 3 kids financially fully, besides your 30 odd dollars a week
