Trouble conceiving for the second time

Me and my partner are young and healthy and we have a beautiful 18 month old boy. We have been trying for a second bubba for 8 months now with no luck, we are doing everything by the book, ovulation test, temp chart, we never have or do drink or smoke, we try to have sex regurly and everyday before, during and after ovulation. But still nothing... Can anyone lend some advice? Oh and I should mention I have notice since tracking my ovulation I have discovered my ovulation is irregular ranging from day 13 to day 18. Thanks ladies.

Don't really have advice but just wanted to say... my first pregnancywe got pregnant the very first month. The second titime around it took much longer. I have irregular ovulation too. .. don't worry too much, majority of couples take over 6 months to conceive. I'm sure it will happen for you soon :-)

It took us 7 months of trying for our second, and the only reason I think it happened in the 7th month was because I was so preoccupied with my wedding and having family stay that for that month trying for a baby was in the back of my mind instead of consuming my every thought. So the only advice I have is to "stop trying" - I know I hated when people said that to me but honestly I think that's the only way it worked. Relax and enjoy sex, enjoy your partner and your 18 month old and for one month try and forget the reasons why you're making love to your partner (damn near impossible but please just try!). Good luck, I truly wish you all the best and hope a little seed is planted in your belly very soon xx

My 1st bubba we fell 1st try. I'm now 18 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. It took 4 months. I also noticed I had very irregular cycle / ovulation after the birth of my son. The first 3 months I worried about not falling pregnant and tried to have sex every day etc etc. The month I fell my hubby and I had both been sick so didn't even think it was a possibility...but I had been checking my cervix that whole cycle, and I noticed the day that my cervix got really high and soft. We had sex that day and voila - we were pregnant. I was on day 28 of my cycle when I ovulated. You could try checking your cervix...low, closed and hard when not ovulating, and high, open and soft when ovulating. Lots of info on goggle about checking your cervix.
