Hi ladies,
I am 18 weeks pregnant with number 2 and have been worried about it since very early on (much more than with the 1st) My 12 week ultrasound was fine, have heard bubs heartbeat ay an appointment with my Dr just last Monday, but can't shake this worried feeling. I haven't really felt any movements and my belly is smaller than I expected it to be at this stage. Funny thing is, I didn't feel anything with bub 1 until at least 21 weeks. I feel like I'm just being paranoid because everyone says you're more in tune with your second and you get bigger earlier! Guess I'm just after some reassurance from people who have been through the same thing with their second and everything turned out fine. TIA

I too expected to be bigger quicker with my second, because that is what everyone tells you. However I really didn't even look the slightest bit pregnant untill 24 weeks with second whereas the first people noticed at 15 weeks ( I am a small build). Although once I did pop i certainly seemed to go from not showing to looking really pregnant in a flash. It's normal to worry but I'm sure everything will be fine
You've heard heartbeat, Doc says all is fine, ultrasound was fine, so relax! I think we all worry a bit, it's normal, but try not to :)
IF something is wrong you deal with it then, no point worrying when all data so far, says that everything is fine ;)
I expected to be bigger with the second too because that is definitely what people tell you but I measured smaller the whole pregnancy. My first bub was 7.8pounds and my second ended up being 7.3pounds so not much difference in the end. If you are measuring too small your midwife/doctor will notice so don't worry about it.
